The thunderstorm on the previous day was incredible like magic, it cleared on June 5. Barbecue Party was held under the blue sky by virtue of 160 people gathering ,66 adults and 94 children. Most of them are Japanese families, and some foreigners who are living in the City are seen here and there. There was such a case too that a university student in the U.S. who came to Niigata for training purpose was by chance staying with the AIRA member's house on that day and came to campsite accompanied by the family. After brief greeting was given by Mr. Ono who is GM, Interchange Dept. the chief person in charge ,and Mr. Ideguchi, Chairman, AIRA , we immediately got started BBQ party. We all smacked our lips over a plenty dish like the rice ball, roast meat, chow mein, stir-fried vegetables and spareribs etc. As the stomach had been filled, we enjoyed ball game, badminton, hula hoop and soccer and also had a chat time in threes and fives. It became a close at 3:30PM. Lot of insertion such as rice and vegetables was done at this party from the following people ; Abiko City agricultural committee: Mr. Toshio Masuda, Chairman and Abiko City young men's agricultural association: Mr. Yohei Nakano, Member and Mr. Tadao Masuda, Member. There was insertion of the something to drink from the other persons. We would like to express our gratitude to them.
