例年より早い梅雨明け宣言が出されたやや蒸し暑い天候の下、ツアーの一行は出発しました。参加者の出身国籍は中国、台湾、フィリッピン、スリランカ、日本の５ヶ国でした。利根川の堤防沿いに走ること約10分、勝部交流部会長より道路の下に高齢者ケアセンター、市民体育館、クリーンセンターといった市の公共施設が並んでいるとの説明がありました。この後バスは成田市に直行。

車中、自己紹介をしたりスリランカの学生が5人もいたので同国の紹介をしてもらいました。スリランカは、インド半島の南西のインド洋に位置する島国。面積は北海道の約80%, 人口2000万人、在留日本人800人、在日スリランカ人　9,000人、言語はシンハラ語とタミル語を国語にして公用語、英語が連結語になっています。仏教徒70％・ヒンドゥ教徒10％、主要産業は紅茶、ゴム、米といった農業。主食はごはんで直接手で掴んで食べます。カレーもよく食べます。（一部データはインターネットの外務省資料による）同国の童謡も披露してくれました。

新勝寺にお参りしましたが、行き交う人は東南アジアの人達が多く、中国語で案内しているガイドさんも見かけました。ツアーに参加したスリランカ学生は同じ仏教の関係でしょうか境内にある建物、お線香の煙といったものに非常に関心を示しゆっくりと見て回り、バスの集合時間を少し延ばして欲しいと携帯電話で言ってくるほどでした。成田山から東北の方向へバスで20分「成田ゆめ牧場」に到着です。ちょうどお昼になっていたのですぐバーベキュー。新鮮な野菜と牛肉をおかずにおいしくご飯をいただきました。

昼食をとった後は牧場のなかにある色々な娯楽道具、施設で遊びました。竹馬、アーチェリー、ゴルフパターゲーム、プラスティックボックスに座っての斜面下り、牛に直接触っての乳搾り、子豚のレース、芝生に散水するスプリンクラーの下での水遊びといったものです。生クリームが入っている容器を何十回も振ってバターを作る体験をした人もいました。牧場オリジナルのとれたてのミルクから作ったソフトクリーム、アイスクリームも美味しくいただきました。　皆遊び疲れ、牧場を16:00に出発し無事我孫子に戻ってきました。

The excursion bus left Abiko in the humid and hot morning of July 19, right on that day they announced the end of the rainy season.
The tour was joined by those from five nations, China, Taiwan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Japan.
As the bus proceeded along the Tone river about 10 minutes after the departure,
Mr. Y. Katsube, manager of AIRA's Interrelations Department made a brief explanation on the municipal facilities dotted along the roadway, such as the Care Center, the Elderly People's house, Gymnasium and the Clean Center.
On the bus, all the participants introduced themselves. Sri Lankan students, five in total, referred to their country. They also sang their children's song.
Some facts of Sri Lanka mentioned are as follows:
Geography: A gem-shaped island country facing the southeastern tip of India amid the Indian Ocean.
Area: 65,600 square kilometers, approximately 80 % of Hokkaido.
Population: Slightly fewer than 20 million.
Religion: Buddhist: 70%, Hindu: 10% and others.
Japanese living in the country: approx.800
Sri Lankan in Japan: approx. 9,000
Language: Sinhala and Tamil are designated as the official language and English as the associate official language.
Main industry: Tea, lubber, rice and other agricultural products.
The staple diet is cooked rice, which the people eat with right fingers
The bus made a stop at the Shinshoji temple, popularly known as Narita-san. Through the precinct, met many southeast Asians, including a tour guide explaining in Chinese. Of all, Sri Lankan students walked slowly around the area with great interest in the buildings, smoking incense sticks, etc., from the curiosity of the same Buddhist. They took time so much that they petitioned through the cell phone to extend the assembling time for the bus.
In about twenty minutes to the northeast, the bus stopped at the second visiting spot, the Narita Yume Bokujo (The Narita Dream Ranch).
As it was right at the lunch time, all passengers rushed to the Barbecue table.
Fresh vegetables and beefs with rice made them happy.
After the lunch, various playing items at the ranch park were waiting for individual pleasure. Bamboo stilt (Takeuma), archery, putter golf game, sliding down on a plastic sleigh, milking a cow, baby pig racing, playing beneath sprinkling water, and others.
Some others challenged to making butter shaking tens of times a container with fresh milk
Everyone tasted the real fresh and original flavor of soft cream made of milk just brought from the ranch, and ice cream.
Finally, the bus started the ranch at 4:00 pm and in about one hour all participants got back to Abiko with slight pleasant fatigue.
