Day/time: Friday, December 9, 2005 6:30pm-9:00pm
Place: Civic Plaza Hall
Special guest: Mr. Tsune Abe (Jazz pianist)
Commemorating the busy-but-satisfied year of 2005, guests and AIRA members enjoyed an exotic and dreamy evening featuring piano and vocals played by Mr. Tsune Abe, a young rising musician living in Abiko.
Tsune studied music in Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA, USA.
He played at excellent technique about 10 tunes with fine Japanese words and melodies originally composed by him.
The attendants sat at well-decorated tables, surrounded by sophisticated air, and enjoyed turkey, sushi, salad, some hors d'oeuver together with a glass of wine. Santa-Clause-clad women were briskly serving around the table.
And the lady percussionist accompanied Tsune on the drums wearing the Santa-uniform as well.
A favorite Christmas song accelerated filling of seasonal atmosphere in the hall. Some pairs started to dance merrily on the floor to the lively melody.
All attendants gave big hands to the pleasant performance by Tsune and his companies.
It is our pleasure to report that all projects programmed till the end of the year have been completed as scheduled, and that members and guests could celebrate the annual year-end party as above. The managements sincerely wish all AIRA members and supporting people to have a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
